Our company developped various robot control units, and even an own robot development was initiated for a 6 axis industrial robot. R&D war particularly made simple by the network interface, allowing for instant control of the movement; furthermore it was possible that one computer initiated the movements and a second computer monitored the correctness of the movement, directly using the same data.
The picture shows two robots working on the same piece. This is only possible, when close networking of two robot controls nearly makes them appear as one unit.
